Brunswick Schools Video Club – A Winning Team!
Since 2000, the award-winning Brunswick Schools Video Club has provided over 100 students (grades 6-12) the unique opportunity to produce, direct, shoot and edit over 600 programs that have aired on cable channels in Medina County and beyond! Students gain valuable skills in teamwork and creativity on high-end equipment, while our district and Medina County benefit from new and fresh community programming.
Over the past year, the Club was featured in articles (Cleveland Plain Dealer, OSBA Journal), on TV (Channel 19 News; WVIZ's Applause with Dee Perry), and before their peers (at the OSBA Student Achievement Fair). Also, for the second consecutive year, the Club was selected to be the documentary team for the eTech Technology Conference in Columbus, Ohio - where they were challenged to produce a five-minute documentary within a two-day period in support of the event.
The Club would not exist if not for the generous support of the Brunswick City School District, Board of Education, City of Brunswick, and over 80 local businesses who generously contributed over $150,000 in funds, equipment and services towards the purchase of state-of-the-art video production equipment.
